Eligible employees receive the following benefits:
Medical Insurance
Full Time Employees
The Management/Administrative and AFSCME groups health insurance is through Association of Washington Cities HealthFirst 250 Medical Plan. The City pays 95% of the premium for the eligible employee, 70% for the Spouse and 60% for Dependents. And has a $250 individual deductible. Access the AWC 250 Medical Plan (PDF).
Seasonal Employees
Seasonal employees health insurance is through Association of Washington Cities HealthFirst 500 Medical Plan. The City pays 95% of the premium for the eligible employee, 70% for the Spouse and 60% for Dependents. And has a $500 individual deductible. Access the AWC 500 Medical Plan (PDF).
Dental Insurance
Union Employees
Union employees dental is through Washington State Council of County & City Employees (W.S.C.C.C.E) Health & Welfare Trust. A benefit paid at 100% by the City for Full Family. Access the W.S.C.C.C.E Plan 12 (PDF).
Management/Administrative
Management and Administrative employees dental is through Association of Washington Cities and Delta Dental. A benefit paid at 100% by the City for Employee & Employee plus Spouse. The City mirrors the Union's Full Family premium benefit amount with a small employee deductible. Access the Delta Dental Plan E (PDF).
Vision insurance
The City pays 100% of the premium for eligible employees and their families. Access the VSP Plan (PDF).

Sick leave for Full time employees is earned at a rate of 8.70 hours per month or 4.35 hours per pay period.
Sick leave for Seasonal employees is earned at a rate of 1 hour for every forty (40) hours worked. New Seasonal employees have a ninety (90) day probationary period before sick leave can be used.
