required to apply for a permit.

You can discuss your project with a building plans reviewer during
regular business hours. Appointments are not required. For questions,
contact us at (509) 682-8017. Permit applications are accepted
between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday thru Friday.
Single Family Residential Permit
Applications
If you are looking to build a new home, remodel your existing home,
replace a water heater, replace or modify a deck more than 30 inches
above the grade, or add a garage or carport, you will also need to apply
for a building permit. If you are not sure if a
building permit is required, please call our building department or
refer to our
'tip
sheet'.
Commercial Permits Applications
New commercial buildings include three or more residential units or a
single residential unit in a mixed use building. New additions,
improvements, or change of use to an existing building require a
building permit.
